Melina Juergens as Senua
“In Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice,” Melina Juergens stunned the gaming world with her performance as Senua — but many would be surprised to learn this was her first acting gig. She had worked with the “Hellblade” team at Ninja Theory as its video editor, and only donned a motion capture helmet to help the studio test out some tech.
Stefanie Joosten as Quiet
Joosten, who is Dutch, was fascinated with Japanese culture and gaming. While earning her master’s degree in Tokyo, she was approached by a modeling agency, and the encounter led to her becoming one of the most recognizable characters in “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.”
Ashly Burch as Aloy
Prior to her role as Aloy in “Horizon: Zero Dawn,” Burch had already made her mark in video games by playing Tiny Tina in “Borderlands 2” and Chloe in “Life Is Strange.” “Horizon” was so well received that there’s a good chance Burch will return as Aloy in the future.
Christopher Judge as Kratos
“The God of War” reboot was a significant return to video games for Judge, whose last video game acting role was in the 2008 reboot of “Turok.” Now, Judge can add the legendary Kratos to the list of many characters he has portrayed throughout the course of his career.
James McCaffery as Max Payne
McCaffery was always the voice of Max Payne, but oddly enough, it wasn’t until “Max Payne 3” that the actor was finally able to be the face of the character as well. However, that’s not all he did — he also suited up for the motion capture work and performed some of the stunts.
