The game is about to get another shot in the arm thanks to "Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty," a new story-based DLC expansion scheduled for release in 2023. Alongside this huge announcement, it was also disclosed that "Cyberpunk 2077" would immediately be receiving its 1.6 Edgerunners patch, the latest buff to the game and the final update for all platforms (future updates and DLC will be exclusive to next-gen platforms). If you're already itching to boot up your cyberware and get back into the action in Night City, here's everything included in the "Edgerunners" patch.

New gigs and weapons

The "Edgerunners" patch for "Cyberpunk 2077" follows a consistent thread of bug fixes being added to the game, the patch also includes new content for player consumption. When playing the game, "Cyberpunk 2077" players will now be able to participate in three new Gigs offered by Fixers. These gigs include "Concrete Cage Trap," "Desperate Measures," and "Nasty Hangover." According to previous datamines, "Concrete Cage Trap" may be given to players by Regina while "Nasty Hangover" will be a job for Rogue.

They include the Kappa, Senkoh LX, VST-37, MA70 HB, and Kyubi. An additional gun called the Hypercritical Iconic Precision Rifle will be obtainable for anyone who completes the new "Concrete Steel Trap" Gig. Five new melee weapons have also been made available: the Neurotoxin Knife, Punknife, Claw, Razor, and the Cut-o-Matic.

Cross-progression and a new arcade game

Among the more exciting additions included in the Edgerunners patch is cross-platform progression. These days, many gamers have multiple different platforms on which they can enjoy each of their exclusive offerings. Because of this, CD Projekt Red has added in the ability to transfer saves and progression across multiple platforms using cloud functionality.

Another nifty addition is the "Roach Race" arcade game. If you've already been exploring Night City for a while, you might've noticed arcade cabinets scattered across the city advertising a game called "Roach Race." Named after Geralt of Rivia's horse from "The Witcher" series, "Roach Race" is a retro endless runner in which players control a horse. While players can enjoy "Roach Race" while controlling V in "Cyberpunk 2077," they can also download it on their mobile devices for free and play it on their phones, bringing the future of "Cyberpunk" just a bit closer to home.

Edgerunners content, cats, and more patches

To celebrate the release of the "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" anime, "Edgerunners"-related content can be now be found in "Cyberpunk 2077." According to CDPR's patch notes, there are now "some secrets related to the 'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' anime series to be discovered in Night City, including new equipment and new Photo Mode features." As seen in the trailer, at least one of these new equipment additions will include the jacket worn by Diego Martinez in the show. Speaking of jackets, game director Gabe Amatangelo also revealed that wardrobes can now be sorted by player-created presets.

In "Cyberpunk 2077," players will sometimes encounter Nibbles, an adorable furless cat that can be found in your apartment (should you choose to pet it earlier in the game). Now, you can take photos with the adorable fur(-less) baby by going into the game's Photo Mode. While there, players can choose from a selection of different poses they can make Nibbles do.

Outside of cats and jackets, CD Projekt Red has also added a litany of bug fixes and in-game adjustments to better improve the overall experience. According to the list, most of them address odd NPC behavior, weapon buffs/nerfs, and multiple adjustments to perks.
