Elden Ring Devs Reward Let Me Solo Her In The Coolest Way
In case you missed it, a teeny, tiny game called "Elden Ring" released earlier this year. This, the latest entry in FromSoftware's library of titles, is in many ways a grand culmination of the studio's efforts that began with 2009's "Demon's Souls" and includes the "Dark Souls" series, "Bloodborne," and "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice."
The community following for FromSoftware titles has always been a passionate one. When these fans aren't busy telling others to "git gud" or sparking an "Elden Ring" cutscene debate, they're often found sharing their love for these games and supporting one another through notoriously difficult battles. One player in particular has become an internet and From Software celebrity. The Legend of "Let Me Solo Her" is an inspiring, modern gaming folktale. Fortunate players that have stood at the door to what is arguably the most difficult fight in "Elden Ring" have been saved by a gallant, skilled, and mostly naked fighter. With nothing more than a loincloth round his waist and a jar on his head, even the "Elden Ring" publisher Bandai Namco has caught wind of "Let Me Solo Her" - and they've rewarded him.
A weapon fit for a king
Taking to Twitter and revealing his gifts from Bandai Namco, "Let Me Solo Her" (otherwise known as TsuboiKlein on Twitter) expressed his gratitude to the publisher, the "Elden Ring" team, and members of the community. "I can still remember my first experience with the soulsborne series and almost quitting because of Iudex Gundyr in 'Dark Souls 3.' I'm glad I persisted and went on to enjoy the game, because this community is one of the most passionate and dedicated people I've ever seen in a game, and I'm proud to be a part of it," he wrote.
The goodies given to "Let Me Solo Her" included a personalized message of congratulations, an "Elden Ring" map, a plaque — oh, and an entire sword. Best of all, the sword's blade had the words "Rise Tarnished" engraved into it, making this an incredible "Elden Ring" collectible.
Many members of the "Elden Ring" community would agree with one Twitter user's statement that this gesture from Bandai Namco is "Such a cool, well-deserved tribute." Back when he was beginning to become a legend, "Let Me Solo Her" broke his silence and gave plenty of specifics about his journey to internet fame. Fighting the absolutely savage Malenia more than 1000 times, "Let Me Solo Her" has undeniably put in the work to becoming not only an "Elden Ring" legend, but an inspiring and positive example for gaming communities.
