Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course: How To Beat The Secret Boss

"Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course" is finally out and tormenting players with its brutally difficult boss fights. Arguably the world's most well-known run and gun game, "Cuphead" had multiple delays for its DLC before it finally released on June 30th 2022, but most would agree that the wait was worth it.

Set on an entirely new island, the Delicious Last Course DLC (see what they did there?) features new bosses, weapons, and even a playable character in the form of Miss Chalice. With "Cuphead" bosses being, well, "Cuphead" bosses, the DLC should prove to give players plenty of bang for their buck as they try again, and again, and again to be victorious. One particularly rough fight is figuring out how to beat the Moonshine Mob.

Once you've bested them and a few others, however, you might be surprised to learn that there's an entire boss fight hidden from players. You'll have to solve the graveyard puzzle to gain access to this final "Cuphead" challenge, and once you do there are some things to keep in mind.

Between heaven and hell

Diving into the secret Angel and Demon fight can be tricky if you don't know the battle's main gimmick. Thankfully, plenty of players, like Landan2006, have videos giving a great example of how to defeat this dastardly duo.

In this fight, only the Demon's attacks will hurt you. He'll spit fireballs and summon a fiery column that wipes across the screen, while the Angel creates projectiles and screen-wiping columns that don't phase you at all. They're not completely harmless, however. If you turn your back to the Demon, those attacks from the Angel suddenly become the Demon's. Not only that, but the you'll find that the Demon has now taken the Angel's place on the battlefield.

Whichever side of the screen your character faces, the Demon will appear and all of the projectiles on the screen will switch. This means that if you think you're about to get hit by the Demon's fiery column, you can simply look away as it becomes the Angel's non-damaging one. Of course, while you're worrying about the attacks from the boss, you'll also have to carefully maneuver around a moving platform of lighting that will deliver a nasty shock if you touch anything other than its cloudy top.

If your sole objective is to win the battle without worrying about speed, your weapon of choice will be the Chaser Shot. No, they don't do as much damage as other projectiles, but they find their way to their target all by themselves. This means that you can simply hold down the fire button while spending more time focused on dodging the myriad attacks that come your way.
