Diablo Immortal: How To Find And Farm Aspirant's Keys
There are a lot of different facets to character progression in "Diablo Immortal" and good old fashioned level grinding will only get gamers so far. Players choose a class at the beginning and spend the rest of the game trying to improve it. There are a number of ways to do this. Unfortunately, a lot of the progression is locked behind paywalls, making the title pay-to-win in the worst possible way. There are still a great many things players can do to improve their character for free, however. The best way is to track down quality gear, learn to upgrade it, and give it new Legendary Traits with Essence Transfer, but even simple acts like filling the Bestiary grants money, gear, and permanent bonuses.
Another method is upgrading the collected Horadrim vessels at the shrine in Iben Fahd's Sanctum in exchange for permanent buffs. This cavern was created by the Horadrim during their original hunt for the three Prime Evils. It was here that they imbued vessels with their essence in order to store their memories and power for future generations. The area is unlocked during the Legacy of the Horadrim quest line. In the Sanctum Depths, players can find a number of locked chests that require special keys to open. These are called Aspirant's Keys, and players will want to hunt down and farm a lot of them to get the prizes that await within the chests.
Buying Aspirant's Keys
Each of the chests contain gemstones which can be used to upgrade the Horadrim vessels once they are placed in the shrine within Iben Fahd's Sanctum. Players need hundreds of Aspirant's Keys to unlock all of them and get the final prize: Iben Fahd's Tenacity. Unfortunately, getting that many keys requires a fair amount of grinding.
150 keys can be purchased in the app store for $8.99, which will make a decent dent in the number players require. It's also worth noting that some of the keys can be unlocked six at a time by ranking up in the "Diablo Immortal" Battle Pass, but players who don't want to spend real-world money are capable of getting all the keys they need without paying a cent.
In game, five keys can be purchased per day in exchange for 50 Hilts through the Hilts Trader. That might not seem like much since it would take a month to get as many as the app store sells, but Iben Fahd's Sanctum cannot be reached until the player hits level 49, so it might be a good idea to start stocking up ahead of time. That way, players won't have to grind as many keys later.
Farming Aspirant's Keys
Players don't need to buy any keys if they don't want to. There are a number of ways to farm them as well. The first thing most gamers will want to do once they have unlocked the Legacy of the Horadrim questline is to hunt down all of the vessels. Players need to collect these and place them in the shrine to spend the gemstones they will get from the chests anyway. Several of the keys can be found along the way too, so it makes sense to get as many of them as possible through this method first.
Once all the vessels have been collected, it's time to start farming keys in other locations. The two best places to do this are in the PvE Raids and the PvP Battleground. Both of these yield Aspirant's Keys, so it's really up to the player to decide whether they would prefer to battle other users or computer controlled mobs and bosses. This will also yield more Hilts which can be spent at the trader for yet more keys.
According to a Reddit thread by user Medievaldragon, players need to collect a total of 377 Aspirant's Keys to open all 21 treasure chests. They will then be rewarded with 573 Garnets, 579 Sapphires, and 677 Beryl.
