The Real Reason JustaMinx Is Furious With TikTok

Twitch streamer JustaMinx, by her own admission, is absolutely no stranger to controversy. Back in December 2020, the Irish internet personality joined the list of streamers who had been banned from the platform after using terms like "simp," "virgin," and "incel" while on stream (which, according to the site's terms of service, are deemed to be actionable slurs). Regardless, JustaMinx has since regrouped and carved out a path to success utilizing her comedic personality while collaborating with other streamers on Twitch. This seems to have yielded some positive returns, and the streamer currently sits comfortably at 2 million followers on Twitch.

Another platform on which JustaMinx has gained a massive following is TikTok, where she currently boasts over 2.7 million followers who tune in for her comedic clips on the daily. However, it seems that JustaMinx has had a real problem with TikTok over the past month, as she has been hit with three separate permanent bans in the span of 30 days. It's gotten to the point where she's made TikToks poking fun at the situation.

In the wake of these bans, JustaMinx has since voiced her displeasure with the platform and its procedures when it comes to banning users.

JustaMinx says TikTok has a 'mass reporting' problem

In a video posted to her YouTube channel on March 28, JustaMinx addressed the series of bans she's received on TikTok and has called for changes to the platform for what she says is a problem with "mass reporting."

"I've been permanently banned three times within the past month from TikTok," JustaMinx said in the video. While she acknowledged that she's "not everyone's favorite" when it comes to her online persona, the streamer insisted that she had not violated TikTok's terms of service and that she had received apologies from reps at the platform after each ban.

"TikTok has unjustifiably banned me three times, because every time they unban me, they apologize," JustaMinx continued. "It's mass reporting. They need to fix this issue, man, because I applaud TikTok for being one of the few platforms where the discoverability is amazing."

According to Minx, the issue sprang from users whom she described as "young children" who reported her just because they didn't like her content. As of now, JustaMinx has been unbanned from TikTok and her profile is up and running. It remains to be seen whether or not TikTok shows some restraint with its permabans the next time an incident like this occurs.
