The Cast Of Elden Ring Is Gorgeous In Real Life
The hype around "Elden Ring" started all the way back in 2019, when the game's trailer premiered. Fans were even more curious to learn that "Game of Thrones" author George R. R. Martin worked on the project. Martin and developer FromSoftware have certainly delivered a great game — early previews were promising and critics couldn't praise the game enough when it finally landed in their hands.
The game shares a good bit in common with FromSoftware's "Dark Souls" series, with plenty of exploration and brutal fights. There's even a an evolved class system for customizing the perfect character to suit every gamer's play style.
The action RPG is as stunning visually as it is gameplay-wise, but the characters aren't the only beautiful things in the game. The voice actors behind it all are just as gorgeous and talented as "Elden Ring" is amazing to play. Here are just a few of the beautiful faces bringing the Lands Between to life.
Anjli Mohindra - Millicent
Anjli Mohindra is the face behind Millicent in "Elden Ring," but RPG fans might recognize her voice from her previous work. In 2016, she was part of the cast for "Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below," which was nominated for a Behind the Voice Actors (BTVA) Award. She also appeared in "Dragon Quest Heroes 2," reprising her role as Maya. Mohindra is also frequently pops up in live action, making appearances in shows like "Bodyguard" and "Doctor Who" along with a few movies, including "Munich: The Edge of War."
When she's not acting, Mohindra is active on social media, connecting with her fans and friends. She shares her Wordle score to Twitter like everyone else, and she's quick to share information about social issues, like the rising cost of living and climate issues. She also enjoys music, so much so that she was recently looking to invest in a quality turntable for her records.
Chiara Goldsmith - Fia
Fia, one of the NPCs found in "Elden Ring," is voiced by Chiara Goldsmith, a talented actress and comedian. She's sold out multiple comedy shows in London, but she's also landed several major acting roles in shows like "Jekyll and Hyde" and "Victoria." Goldsmith has also voice acted in another video game called "Not a Hero," a pixelated, 2D shooting game that somewhat ironically offers nine heroes to play as.
Chiara Goldsmith has also ventured into the world of directing and creating, working as an assistant director on the set of "Mild Thing" and co-creating the Spanish theater show "Generation Why" — she's dipped her toes into several different creative mediums in the entertainment world.
Goldsmith's Instagram shows off her love of architecture, which she consistently appreciates on the platform. She's also got no shortage of gorgeous nature pictures throughout her page, including both pretty potted plants and stunning landscapes.
Shaun Dooley - Yura
The cast of "Elden Ring" also includes the wonderful talent that is Shaun Dooley, a prominent and award-winning British actor, playing Bloody Finger Hunter Yura. While he's known for the television show "Misfits," he's spent some time in the fantasy genre before diving in with "Elden Ring." In fact, he was in multiple episodes of the popular Netflix series "The Witcher." While "The Witcher" is based on a series of games with the same name, "Elden Ring" was Dooley's first experience voice acting in an actual video game.
Like many others, Dooley enjoys finding out the Wordle of the day, and he's not shy about sharing his political views on social media. Dooley also loves soccer, and he often takes to social media to share his excitement when games are going on. He was even pretty excited for "Elden Ring" to release — much like everyone else — and frequently shared some of the big announcements from the game in the lead-up to release. Dooley called working with "Elden Ring" director Hidetaka Miyazaki a "privilege."
Michael Socha - Dung Eater
Michael Socha's another busy actor who's finally making his way to the video game world through his role as Dung Eater in "Elden Ring." Some of his more recognizable works include roles in "Papillon," "This is England," "Once Upon a Time," and "Being Human." He also starred in a music video for Elderbrook and Rudimental's song "Something About You." While his main career focuses more on live action, he has recorded an audiobook before: "Dodge and Twist."
Socha is a pretty private person when it comes to his own life, but he's quick to share his friends' accomplishments on social media when he does log on. He's also used his feed to boost acting opportunities in the past for people who are trying to break into the industry.
In an interview with Den of Geek, Socha explained that he feels incredibly lucky to get the roles that he does, because he's fortunate to even be able to be there to audition — something that not everyone has the means to do.
Con O'Neill - Mohg
Con O'Neill is coming back to the gaming world as Mohg in "Elden Ring." He was previously heard in "Dark Souls 2," a game in which he and the rest of the cast were nominated for a BTVA award. He also voiced a minor character in "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King." He's perhaps most known for his experience in musicals and other stage performances — O'Neill notably appeared on Broadway in "Blood Brothers" — but he's also acted in TV and film projects like "Chernobyl" and "Vengeance is Mine."
In an interview with Northern Soul, O'Neill shared that he doesn't typically enjoy talking about the acting process out of a worry that he'd sound pretentious, but he did elaborate on the types of characters he enjoys playing. To O'Neill, the best characters to play are the ones who are "slightly broken people who have a desire to get fixed."
