How To Get Destiny 2's Spoils Of Ishtar Emblem

Members of the "Destiny 2" subreddit started receiving emails on how to claim the Spoils of Ishtar emblem, which spurred discussion on how to actually earn it. Thankfully, players found a couple of concrete ways to obtain it.

Only players who completed the Vault of Glass Raid reported receiving an email about the Spoils of Ishtar emblem. Players who claimed Vault of Glass Rewards, including the Vault of Glass Raid Jacket, Vault of Glass Art Print, or Vault of Glass Raid Ring, also received one. As per a Bungie press release, players can only claim Vault of Glass Rewards after finishing the raid.

A few Redditors shared these emails they received from Bungie for completing the Vault of Glass raid and preordering a Vault of Glass Reward.

"Congratulations on your achievements in Destiny 2 and being among the first to complete the 2021 Vault of Glass Raid," the email read. "As a special gift for completing and preordering a 2021 Vault of Glass Bungie Reward, we are including an emblem code for Destiny 2 Emblem: Spoils of Ishtar."

This email implies that only the first few players who complete the raid receive the emblem. It's unclear exactly how many players received the email and how many haven't yet received it.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do now

So the "Destiny 2" subreddit cracked the mystery of how to get the Spoils of Ishtar emblem. Just one problem, though. The Vault of Glass Rewards retired from the shop back in August and the Vault of Glass 2021 Raid has ended. In short, players can no longer qualify for the Spoils of Ishtar emblem.

At this time of writing, the Vault of Glass Rewards still appear on the Bungie Store. They're not for sale, though. Their descriptions read, "Reward no longer available, but the legend lives on." Some players who bought Vault of Glass Rewards or completed the Vault of Glass Raid haven't received their emails yet. Gamers that purchased a Vault of Glass item should keep an eye on their inbox and spam folder in case Bungie continues to send emails about the Spoils of Ishtar emblem in the future.

The Spoils of Ishtar isn't the first time "Destiny 2" has caused an uproar, though it does sometimes reward fans by bringing back popular features. Many fans on Reddit condemned Bungie for its poor handling of collector's items and emblems, with one user saying that it was unfair for the company to not be transparent when releasing limited edition rewards.
