The Real Reason Dr Disrespect Might Take A Break
Dr Disrespect, who has been known for stirring the pot in enough ways to catch YouTube's attention, floated a comment during a recent stream that may be alarming for his long-time viewers. Specifically, while streaming "Call of Duty: Warzone," Dr Disrespect suggested that he might want to put a pause on streaming in general.
Nearly five hours into his Memorial Day stream of "Call of Duty: Warzone," in which he had not been performing all that well, Dr Disrespect commented, "Ah, man, we've got to figure out some new games." He added that "Like, we really actually have to take that seriously, or, I am not going to stream. I will take a break if needed. We only want to put showtime material up[.]"
Yet again, the Doc expressed his frustration with "Warzone," but his comments seemed a bit more dire than normal. In part, this could be explained by frustration from dying multiple times during the stream, but there could well be genuine sentiment within Dr Disrespect's words.
Even if Dr Disrespect were to take a leave of absence with regard to streaming, however, it wouldn't be the first time. In June of 2020, Dr Disrespect was banned from Twitch, causing him to take a break, albeit involuntarily. Are fans ready for another break from the Two-Time Champion?
The Doc doesn't have any solid plans yet
While Dr Disrespect's comments during his Memorial Day stream may be alarming to some, it is worth noting nothing official has been announced yet regarding any sort of vacation from streaming. Further, Dr Disrespect has made his negative sentiment about "Call of Duty: Warzone" clear in the past. For instance, after a game loss in late March this year, he said he was "so over this f***ing game," signaling then that he may be seeking new blood where battle royale titles are concerned. It could be that the Doc simply wants to find something else to base his content around, at least until "Warzone" fixes the issues he has with it.
For what it's worth, there does appear to be promise for Dr Disrespect in terms of new battle royale games. For instance, the streamer has thrown his support behind a possible battle royale entry in the "Battlefield" series, according to Dexerto. The next "Battlefield" title will be revealed on June 9, according to the game's official Twitter account. If the Doc gets his wish, "Call of Duty: Warzone" could have some real competition heading its way, at least when it comes to holding the Doc's attention.
