All The New Locations In Evil Genius 2: World Domination
After 17 years, gamers finally have another excellent chance to thwart the Forces of Justice in Rebellion Development's Evil Genius 2. The unexpected sequel to 2004 cult classic Evil Genius puts players in command of their very own evil lair, which they design, manage and defend, all while sending out evil underlings to cause havoc around the world.
Evil Genius 2's gameplay retains what made the original great while updating mechanics for a new generation of villains. Players select one of the four evil geniuses to represent them, each of which supports a different style of play. These range from returning genius Maximillian, who receives an economic bonus that should be a boon to beginners, to Red Ivan, a former Soviet officer whose stronger henchmen make keeping intruders at bay a little easier. No matter which evil mastermind players select, their ultimate goal remains the same: world domination.
While players manage their international crime ring, their most important concern is keeping themselves and their doomsday devices safe from prying eyes at their evil lair. Here are some of the new locations that players have available to them in Evil Genius 2: World Domination.
Players have three island lairs to choose from in Evil Genius 2: World Domination
When players start a campaign in Evil Genius 2: World Domination, the first choice they make is which island lair they will call home. As the developers explain in a gameplay preview, players will no longer have the option to switch lairs after the second mission.
Evil Genius 2: World Domination has three prebuilt island lairs for players to choose from. Each of these lairs features a casino as a front to give your mysterious private island the thinnest cover as a legitimate operation. The only lair that Rebellion Development has featured prominently so far is a tropical island with a large mountain, which players tunnel into to house their evil minions and henchman. While laying low in their cozy mountain lair, players can also plant traps to thwart any nosy investigators or secret agents.
While three island lairs may not sound like enough room for the four evil geniuses players have to explore, Rebellion Development has promised that at least one more hideaway is coming after Evil Genius 2: World Domination launches, courtesy of an exciting expansion pack. From the brief description offered, it sounds like it will retain the island theme, although it will be interesting to see what the new variant has to offer aspiring villains.
