How To Get The Predator Skin In Fortnite Season 5
The long-awaited Predator skin has finally hit Fortnite, and it's obtainable with the Chapter 2 – Season 5 Battle Pass.
Fortnite released a short cinematic on YouTube announcing the release of the Predator skin. The description for the video warns gamers with a sinister comment: "There's something in those trees." This quote from the original Predator film was used again in a blog from Epic Games, which further detailed the arrival of the Predator.
Update 15.21 was launched on Jan. 20, bringing with it new quests to unlock the Predator skin and related items. According to the dev's blog post, Fortnite's newest Battle Pass holds the key to unlocking the Predator skin, along with new challenges that will grant players an emoticon, spray, and banner to match.
The skin is a Battle Pass exclusive, so players will need to buy the Battle Pass online in order to unlock the skin. The Battle Pass will be active until March 15, so players have plenty of time to earn some V-Bucks and unlock the Predator skin.
Unlocking the Predator skin
Once you've purchased the new Battle Pass, it's time to take on the Predator itself.
The Predator skin, like some previous secret skins, can be unlocked by beating the Predator himself in the Stealthy Stronghold. This new addition to Fortnite's character skins also comes with a new Mythic item: the Predator's Cloak Device. HYPEX has posted a clip on Twitter shows how this particular item will enable the player to become invisible. Just like the new skin, this item is also unlocked by defeating the Predator.
The only way to get the quests is by having a Battle Pass. Without it, players won't be able to unlock the quests. The Battle Pass can be purchased within the game itself or by signing up to be a part of the Fortnite crew through Epic's website. Players that pay to be in the Fortnite crew receive the Battle Pass, 1,000 V-Bucks, and a new skin set that's exclusive to the crew.
