GTA 6 Extended Look Soundtrack: Every Song We Heard

Licensed music has long been a hallmark of the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise, and Rockstar clearly spares no expense in compiling impressive soundtracks of both big hits and deep cuts with each "GTA" release. And from "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" onward, one of the things that people are most interested to know when a new "GTA" is on the horizon is what songs are going to be included. "Grand Theft Auto 6" is no exception — and after today's extended look, we got confirmation on 14 of the tracks we can expect to listen to as we cruise Vice City looking for trouble in November.

The following tracks were all heard at various points in the extended look, from songs that were front and center to tunes that were quietly playing in the background that you might have missed:

• "Pound Town," Sexxy Red & Tay Keith
• "Skrilla," Kodak Black
• "Let Your Love Flow," The Bellamy Brothers
• "Love Bites," Def Leppard
• "People Are People," Depeche Mode
• "But I Think It's a Dream," Captain & Tennille
• "Cars and Girls," Prefab Sprout
• "Off the Grid," !!! feat. Meah Pace
• "Devil Woman," Cliff Richard
• "Se Me Nota (Agarrame)," Chimbala and Omega
• "Against All Odds," Phil Collins
• "Mine 'O Mine," Aluna and Jayda G
• "Inner Light," Elderbrook with Bob Moses

Those tracks join the songs that had already been heard in the previous two official trailers, which include "Hot Together" by The Pointer Sisters, "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" by Wang Chung, "Love is a Long Road" by Tom Petty, and "Child Support" by Zenglen.

Some people were disappointed to learn, despite the Vice City setting for "GTA 6," that the game wouldn't be returning to the 1980s, the era "GTA: Vice City" gleefully took place during. But it's been made pretty clear that the vibes of the '80s are alive and well in "GTA 6." That's not only because Miami — the real life basis for Vice City — feels a bit like a city forever stuck in the '80s, but because the decade looms so large on the soundtrack for "GTA 6" thus far.

It didn't take long into the first official trailer for "GTA 6" before the Wang Chung classic "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" could be heard. That trailer subsequently ended with the Pointer Sisters' 1986 track "So Hot Together" playing over the reveal of the title logo — not a huge hit, but a song that sounds undeniably of its era. It certainly helped to set the tone as the neon pink and blue "GTA 6" title graphic appeared on the screen.

The latest trailer then added several more iconic '80s songs to the growing list of confirmed "GTA 6" soundtrack entries, including Phil Collins' "Against All Odds" playing quietly during an elevator ride. Collins has a very special connection to Vice City's '80s past, with songs found not only on both "GTA: Vice City" and "GTA: Vice City Stories" but appearing as himself in a cameo in the latter game.
