Best And Worst Places To Land In Call Of Duty: Warzone
If you haven't heard, the map for Call of Duty's newest battle royale, Warzone, is kind of huge. There's over 40 named locations, and tons of space in between, all designed to entertain up to 150 players at once. The sweeping city of Verdansk might seem intimidating at first, but we've gathered some intel about the best — and worst — places to land. Stick to these points and you might just stay out of the Gulag.
Best: Zordaya Prison Complex
Zordaya Prison Complex is an excellent location for getting in and then getting out, fast. You'll find it in the southeast corner of the map, meaning it will quickly be swallowed by poison gas. Because of this, not a whole lot of players feel comfortable dropping there. This is a rookie mistake: the prison has a lot of loot that will come in handy later in the game. Your best bet is dropping into the prison, gathering up what you need, and then scurrying away as fast as your legs can carry you.
Worst: Atlas Superstore
Where do you usually go shopping? At a superstore, of course. While this is common sense in real life, superstores in Verdansk are death traps. It is true that the Atlas Superstore, located just south of the sprawling airport, has a lot of loot scattered in the cereal aisles. But this fact makes it a hotbed for activity. Tons of teams swarm the store, and each other, in order to try to get the best items. Think of the Atlas Superstore as a Target on Black Friday: best avoided if you don't want to get into a fight.
Best: Verdansk International Airport
International airports are big, and Verdansk's is no exception. The Verdansk International Airport is one of the best places to drop into because of its sprawling nature. It's so huge that you might not even see another team while poking around in the hangars. They're probably there, but preoccupied in another terminal. That said, there's not a lot of cover to be found in this area, making you vulnerable to snipers and other stealth-based players. As long as you're cautious, you should have an uneventful trip to the airport.
Worst: Downtown Tavorsk District
Just like any metropolitan area, downtown in Verdansk is busy. Sure, there are plenty of buildings to take cover in, but everyone else is relying on the same strategy. This location will prove to be a sniper's paradise, especially as the gas gathers close. The loot density of this area also makes it dangerously tempting, but, again, you don't want to be downtown if you want to play it safe. Venture here only if you're confident in your abilities.
