How Long Does It Take To Beat Metro Redux?
Metro Redux is a bundle of two remastered titles from the last generation: Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. Both are grim shooters based in post-apocalyptic Russia, and both are actually based on novels written by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky. If you've been seeing Metro Redux back in the news recently and aren't sure why, two words might help explain: Nintendo Switch. The package is coming to Nintendo's hybrid on Feb. 28, 2020, so if you're totally new to the franchise and want to know how long Metro Redux will take to beat, we've got the details for you right here.
As far as a straight campaign playthrough is concerned, the website How Long to Beat claims it'll take you around 19 total hours to finish the entire Redux bundle. That includes nine hours for Metro 2033 Redux, and approximately ten hours for Metro: Last Light Redux.
But that's before the DLC comes into play.
Even more Metro
Yes, there is even more content available for those who can't get enough of the Metro universe. The Nintendo website states that the Metro Redux bundle adds roughly ten more hours to the single player experience in both titles by way of DLC. If you find you enjoy shooting your way through a nuclear wasteland, just know there's more in store if you choose to partake.
Collectibles and achievements/trophies further add to the replayability of both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. If you dare to go the completionist route — a.k.a. doing all the things — you could find yourself spending almost 23 hours with Metro 2033 Redux and 26 hours with Metro: Last Light Redux. That adds up to around 49 hours of total playtime. That's fairly substantial.
As we mentioned earlier, Metro Redux is getting a Nintendo Switch release on Feb. 28, 2020. There's no word yet on whether or not 2019's Metro Exodus will also come to Switch. If we hear something, we'll let you know.
