Resident Evil 3 Remake's Nemesis Is Not Screwing Around
Those of you looking forward to Resident Evil 3 Remake might want to reconsider. Do you really want another towering monster chasing you around for hours on end? One who is even smarter and more capable than the terrifying Mr. X from Resident Evil 2? If you're still feeling brave, watch the video above.
A new trailer just dropped for Resident Evil 3 Remake, and it takes a look at some characters you'll meet in the game. Carlos gets some additional screen time, as do some other members of the U.B.C.S. — Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service. And then, of course, there is Jill, who always seems to be on the run throughout the trailer.
From who exactly? Or from what? Nemesis — the being ultimately destined to become part of your nightmares when Resident Evil 3 Remake drops.
The trailer gives us our best look at Nemesis so far. That hulking frame. The flamethrower. Those giant teeth. Nemesis is a disturbing sight himself, but you'll likely be even more shaken by just how relentlessly he plans to pursue you throughout the game. We reported a few days back about how the A.I. behind Nemesis was getting smarter. This trailer shows us some of that in action.
You turn a corner and there he is. You want to keep your distance and take shots at Resident Evil 3's titular beast? He'll rope you in with relative ease using one of his tentacles. You're trying to escape through a dark alleyway? No biggie — Nemesis will just burst through the wall of a building and jump down a story to meet you.
Odds are, you're going to be hearing "STARRRS" so often it'll cause you to instinctively start running. Here's hoping you aren't taking astronomy.
We're pretty excited to get our hands on Resident Evil 3 Remake, and fortunately, we know exactly when we'll be able to. The game comes to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 3.
