How Long Does It Take To Beat Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection?
When Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection arrives on Feb. 25, longtime fans and newbies alike will gain access to six more Mega Man games on modern machines. The package includes four titles from Mega Man Zero and two more from Mega Man ZX, which should offer up quite a bit of play time.
But how much play time, exactly? How long does it take to beat Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection? Using our knowledge of the original titles, we can come up with a pretty good estimate for how much time you'll need to set aside.
According to the website How Long to Beat, an average run through Mega Man X takes around 3.5 hours. You'll need to tack on another 4.5 hours for Mega Man X2, 5 hours for Mega Man X3, and 4 hours for Mega Man X4. As far as the ZX series goes, you'll spend around 9 hours on the Mega Man ZX campaign, with another 7 added for the Mega Man ZX Advent story.
All in all, it should take roughly 33 hours for you to beat Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection in its entirety. That is an awful lot of platforming.
In terms of entertainment hours versus what you'll pay for the package, it's tough to say you won't be getting a bargain here. Both the retail version and the digital version of Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection will come in at $29.99, which means you'll pay around $0.91 per hour of play. Not a bad deal. And Nintendo Switch owners won't be getting the short end of the stick here, either. The Switch versions of the title cost exactly the same as the versions found everywhere else. There is no "Switch tax" in sight, and thank goodness.
Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection comes to PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on Feb. 25. If you were a fan of the past Mega Man collections, this is one you won't want to miss.
