Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Includes A Tribute From A Son To His Late Father

Both Martin Cameron and his son, Nicholas, had the privilege of working on Star Wars games. While Martin had X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter on his resume, Nicholas was given the opportunity to do level design for the recently released Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Martin passed on in early 2018. But he'll still be remembered — as a Jedi, no less — thanks to a tribute left by his son in Jedi: Fallen Order.

While exploring one of the, erm, snowier levels of the game, you might happen upon a memorial next to a meditation circle. It's there that you'll discover an echo; one that gives a little bit of backstory about a Jedi Master named Mar Ti "Bucky" Kam'Ron. It seems the location was a favorite spot of Mar Ti's, as he visited "many times over the course of his life to reflect on his adventures and his achievements," according to the echo's lore.

Mar Ti Kam'Ron is, of course, a Star Wars take on the name Martin Cameron. And Bucky? That was a nickname given to Martin by his friends, according to Nicholas.

"I'll always be grateful that he got to know I'd be working on JFO, but dang is it rough he didn't get to see me ship it," Nicholas tweeted. "All of that makes leaving this tribute to him extra special, because its [sic] in a world that we shared. And now he gets to live on as a Jedi in the SW world."

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been well received since its release last Friday. The game currently sits at a Metacritic score of 83, with some calling it the best Star Wars game in years.

You can play the game now on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. If you get the chance, be sure to visit the memorial for Mar Ti "Bucky" Kam'Ron.

From what we've heard, it's a nice spot to reflect on his adventures and achievements.
