Fortnite's New Darkfire Bundle Includes $80 Worth Of Cosmetics

Ever heard of a tiny little game called Fortnite? Of course you have. Fortnite is one of the most popular games in the entire world, and it keeps that popularity alive by pumping out new content. Today Epic Games announced a new content pack called the Darkfire Bundle, chock full of the cosmetics that players around the world continue to clamor for. This will launch as a physical disk you can buy in stores, and will come with the F2P game and the Darkfire cosmetics. The question is, is this pack worth the price tag?

The Darkfire Bundle sounds a little ominous, and it should: this retail pack is full of dark-themed cosmetics. And Epic Games claims the pack contains $80 of content despite only costing $30. But what do you actually get? According to Epic, the set comes with: 3 legendary skins, 3 pickaxes, 3 back blings, 3 weapon skins, and an emote. This is arguably much more than you you'd have received if you'd purchased the last physical release of Fortnite, the Deep Freeze Bundle. That previous release came with only one legendary skin, a few other items, and some V-Bucks. So you're definitely getting more content overall, if you're one of the few people who've not yet played Fortnite and you plan on getting the Darkfire Bundle.

These bundles are very popular around this time of year, as parents scurry to the stores to buy their kids the hottest game. It's a helpful package for those who aren't very savvy when it comes to buying games, so Gearbox continues to oblige them and make a ton of money in the process.

Years later its launch, Fortnite is still going strong and is as popular as ever. We expect the Darkfire Bundle will rope some new players in this holiday season; just be ready to see a bunch of players in Darkfire gear dropping onto the map.
