Meet Jack Doherty's Wife, McKinley Richardson

There's a good chance that you're already familiar with Jack Doherty, considering he has nearly 15 million subscribers on YouTube alone. Some people know him as the guy who crashed a $250,000 car while streaming, and others know him as the YouTube who grew into internet fame and fortune while he was still pulling pranks as a teenager. You might love or hate Doherty, but you're may be a little less familiar with his wife, McKinley Richardson.

Richardson and Doherty began dating back in 2023, and they got married in November 2024 in a ceremony that was livestreamed to their millions of fans. Richardson's online following has definitely grown since she started dating and collaborating with Doherty, but she already had a sizable following before then. Richardson is an internet creator who's won over fans with her vlogs and relatable videos, but has also made a name for herself by creating spicier content on platforms like OnlyFans. There have been more than a few streamer power couples, but Richardson and Doherty are easily some of the biggest YouTubers in recent history to collaborate, much less get married. Whether or not you're one of Doherty's fans, it's worth getting to know his partner to get a better look at how this couple got to where they are today.

McKinley's career is all her own

Plenty of newer fans may think of McKinley Richardson as Jack Doherty's wife first, but there's a whole legion of folks who've gotten to know Richardson on her own terms. She has a dedicated social media following that's stuck with her for more than half a decade now, and even though her relationship with Doherty definitely exposed her to an even larger audience, Richardson accomplished her rise to internet fame all by herself.

Richardson really burst onto the scene when she started uploading videos to TikTok in 2019. Her content there mostly focused on short vlog-style videos, but over time she started working in on-the-street interviews and the occasional giveaway. Richardson's TikToks have gotten nearly 30 million likes, and she has 1.6 million followers on that platform alone. Her Instagram account also has 1.5 million followers, and her main YouTube channel, which is her least active space online, has over 7.5 million subscribers. That's an impressively large (and probably very profitable) following, even before one considers Richardson's other online ventures. She even has extra YouTube and Instagram channels for various types of content. She's a social media star in her own right, and her relationship with Doherty (and the ensuing spike in followers) is just icing on the cake.

She and Jack went public in 2023

Richardson and Doherty are constantly online, so you're unlikely to see either of them go very long without posting something about their relationship. Whether it's a birthday post or a shopping vlog, you're always going to see them together on their various social media platforms. Even if you catch every one of their posts, however, you might not actually know that much about their private lives. There's a constant supply of content coming from Richardson and Doherty, but it seems like they keep all the truly intimate details offline.

As an example, when Richardson and Doherty started dating, instead of making a big announcement to their friends, they just unceremoniously started posting pictures together. They've mentioned on a podcast that they met through mutual friends, but they really haven't revealed many details about the early stages of their relationship. So much of their relationship exists on-camera, but it seems like they're happy to let whatever wasn't filmed fade out of people's minds.

It's not uncommon for internet personalities to start dating, but the pressure those relationships face can be immense. There are streamers that you never even knew dated each other, because the constant presence of millions of viewers can cause enough strain to end the relationship early. That might be why McKinley Richardson and Jack Doherty took a unique approach to sharing their relationship with their fans. This has backfired on occasion, when the couple has been seen arguing with one another on camera (much to the dismay of fans and detractors alike), but their way of life seems to work pretty well for the most part.

McKinley's content is more relationship-focused now

Anyone who's been following McKinley Richardson for most of her career can tell you that her content has changed a bit since she and Jack Doherty took their relationship public. In the early days, Richardson made vlog-style slice-of-life videos with her friends, but more and more of her uploads have started to center on her relationship with Doherty. Richardson's primary YouTube channel is almost entirely dedicated to her relationship, but she's still looking to entertain her audience, which means she's still following the usual YouTube trends. Instead of a big giveaway video, she'll post a vlog where she gifts Doherty an expensive car, or instead of pranking strangers in public, she'll mess with Doherty by showing him a fake pregnancy test.

She still makes vlogs and creates videos with her friends, but she splits her uploads between her personal YouTube page and a channel she co-owns with her husband, appropriately called Jack & McKinley. Regardless of where her next video is uploaded, it seems she and Jack are joined at the hip, and they typically seem to have more fun filming together than separately. Some of that is a natural side-effect of sharing a life together, but some of it is probably smart marketing, too, because the videos Richardson uploads with Doherty tend to get hundreds of thousands more views.

One of Jack's employees claimed he kissed McKinley

In March 2024, an ex-employee of Jack Doherty's named Matthew ignited some drama when he claimed that McKinley Richardson had cheated on Doherty with him. Matthew made the claim publicly on X, uploading uploaded a three-second video clip showing him kissing Richardson in the back of a car. He also shared screenshots of friendly messages between himself and Richardson, which he claimed was further proof of the

Both Doherty and Richardson told a very different version of events. In a lengthy post, Richardson explained that Matthew had come onto her strongly and insisted that they were dating, even though she said they were not. She even said that Matthew forcibly kissed her and touched her inappropriately.

In a video posted to X, Doherty backed up Richardson's version of events, saying, "I have so much dirt against you [Matthew], and I have so many girls ready to come forward about you, and you've done way worse." Matthew then uploaded his own response video, once again insisting that he and Richardson had been seeing each other in secret. The drama ultimately faded away, and though fans are still confused by the whole thing, it clearly didn't leave too much of a lasting impact on Doherty's relationship with Richardson. After all, the couple got married less than a year after Matthew's bombshell claims.

Some people think her relationship is just for content

It's no secret that McKinley Richardson and Jack Doherty are helping each other to grow their social media reach. The pair have only gotten more popular since they started dating, to the point where even their shared YouTube channel has well over a million subscribers all to itself. Because of just how popular the couple has become — and likely because of Doherty's penchant for courting controversy — there are quite a few people who think that their whole relationship is just one big marketing move. That's a pretty natural assumption for some people to make, especially when Doherty and Richardson use big relationship milestones like their engagement as fodder for videos. Plus, Sketch and Faith Ordway also filmed a wedding for the views just this year, so the assumption is not totally out of the ordinary. Beyond that, however, there's at least one weird piece of evidence that might support this not-so-romantic fan theory.

Richardson and Doherty livestreamed their wedding, and many people have accused Doherty of using viewbots to boost the stream, pointing to the fact that Doherty's chat was almost entirely inactive despite having over 17,000 concurrent viewers as proof. Doherty responded to that claim, on his actual wedding day no less, with a video on X, claiming all his active chatters were actually on Parti.com.

This isn't something fans or haters can prove one way or another, but you can expect doubters to keep wearing their tinfoil hats for the foreseeable future. In the meantime, this power couple will no doubt continue their takeover of YouTube and beyond.
