PUBG Season 5 Update Adds Throwable Items And Miramar Refresh

Season 5 of Playerunknown's Battlegrounds has arrived for PC, adding a reworked Miramar map, throwable items, and the latest Survivor Pass to the popular battle royale game.

The development team has breathed new life into the Mexican Miramar map with the addition of the A LA Muerte Vamos race track. You can find new objects like ramps, loops, jumps and signboards scattered throughout the setting and small objects and trash have been removed to reduce clutter and make looting easier. Additionally, a single Gold Mirado will spawn each match at the garage in Hacienda del Patron. The spawn rates of other items in Miramar have received a balance update, increasing the spawn rates of weapons and scopes effective at long-range while reducing pistol spawns by 31%.

You can now loot Painkillers and Energy Drinks from vending machines while playing in Miramar and Camp Jackal. Miramar vending machines will spawn at random locations while the Camp Jackal vending machines will always spawn at the warehouse and gas station. The devs warn against using vending machines as cover due to their "cutting-edge anti-theft technology" which will reveal your location should a vending machine sustain damage.

Season 5 comes with it s own Survivor Pass: Badlands. The pass introduces a new Community Mission System, tasking you with banding together with other players to fill the Community accomplishment gauge. As you progress, you'll unlock in-game skin rewards and uncover Miramar's hidden story elements. The pass includes three other types of missions and their subsequent rewards: Season Missions, Progression Missions, and Challenge Missions. The update also introduces changes to Survivor Points within the Survivor Title System.
