How Long Does It Take To Beat The Ninja Saviors: Return Of The Warriors?
What do we have here? A classic beat 'em up that makes serious use of nostalgia by reviving what was once a long dead arcade cabinet: The Ninja Warriors. Back and bigger than ever, it turns out that this classic game, resurrected under the name The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors, has a few new ninja tricks up its sleeves in the short but sweet time it takes to finish the game's campaign.
Playing the first time through might take players an hour or two, but you may not want to stop there; beating the campaign on increased difficulty will unlock new characters. The game starts the player off with three warriors, but there are two more waiting in the wings if you're up to the challenge. With just eight chapters, The Ninja Saviors is speedy, but makes up for this brevity with replayability.
Players might want to test their might with each of the different characters and their respective fighting types, or they may want to pass a controller to a friend. Player two can help you beat the brief story, putting their powers and yours together for a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Thanks to its roots in its arcade cabinet ancestor, The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors yields a five-hour playthrough for the most ardent of completionists and an easy, breezy hour for those that don't want to try out new characters or invite a friend over. At the least, you can look forward to a well-reviewed experience, with Nintendo Life calling the game, "...exactly what you remember: huge, lush backdrops, silky animation, and tight, mob-levelling ninja moves." That outlet scored it a 9 out of 10, so if you had doubts about this more modern version of The Ninja Warriors, you can probably put them to rest.
The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors comes to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on Oct. 15, 2019.
