MrBeast Has His Death All Planned Out

MrBeast has a lot on his mind. He's working hard to keep videos coming out on his channel, still creating his Amazon Prime game show, and presumably still worrying about losing viewers after a summer filled with scandals and accusations. Even though MrBeast has so much on his plate right now, he's apparently also still found some time to consider his own mortality. The YouTuber went on an episode of Logan Paul's podcast "Impaulsive," during which he talked about his various business ventures, his approach to content creation, and the elaborate plans he has in place in the event of his untimely demise. At one point in the conversation, Paul brought up the story of fellow YouTuber Nikocado Avacado pre-filming years of videos to surprise his audience with a sudden weight loss transformation. "That seems like something you would do," KSI said to MrBeast, and the YouTuber revealed that it's something he's already done.

"I did do that for when I die," MrBeast said, "I have a bunch of videos pre-filmed so that my channel can keep uploading." It probably goes without saying that Paul and KSI were floored by this statement, and they were even more impressed when MrBeast got into further details. As it turns out, MrBeast has made good on a pitch he shared back in 2023.

MrBeast pre-filmed more than a dozen videos

MrBeast has apparently been preparing for his death for a long time. In fact, he came up with his pre-filmed video idea so long ago that his original plan might need to be updated. "I probably should re-film them," MrBeast said on "Impaulsive," adding, "I mean, I was 21 or 22." Those old videos are still hanging out on one of MrBeast's computers somewhere, and he shared taht there are people on his team who know to find and upload them if he should unexpectedly pass away.

In all, MrBeast said that he's got about 15 videos stocked up, but he was quick to clarify, "They were, like, pretty garbage videos." In one of the videos, MrBeast apparently just sits at a table and makes a few jokes about the fact that he's dead and buried. The plan, MrBeast said, was for every video to be marked as his "last," so fans would keep being surprised for months, each time a new video popped up on the channel. We all know that MrBeast eats, sleeps, and breathes YouTube, but even for him, that's an unbelievable amount of commitment to a bit, not to mention keeping the channel alive.

MrBeast has thought about his death a lot

MrBeast's pre-filmed stockpile of videos is a bit of new information, but this isn't the first time that he's opened up about his concerns in this area. Back in 2023, MrBeast sat down for a conversation with Lex Fridman, and the two of them ended up talking about mortality. At the time, MrBeast said that if he knew he only had a few months to live, he'd pour all of his energy into filming vlogs. "I would film so many videos, and then I would just schedule upload a video a week for like, the next five years, so it's like I'm still alive," he said. At the time, it wasn't entirely clear if MrBeast had begun this project, but now we know he's been working on it for quite some time.

There have been quite a few times where communities were shocked by the death of their favorite creators. However, it seems like MrBeast really wants to keep his following alive even after he's gone. Maybe half a decade of posthumous videos would do it. Then again, his fans might find the whole experiment a little too unsettling. Either way, we probably won't find out for a long time.
