Fortnite Season 11 - What We Know So Far
Fortnite's Season 10 has brought us tons of new loot to earn, map changes that brought back fan-favorite areas from the past, and all sorts of limited-time events. But nothing lasts forever, and sadly, that includes Fortnite Season 10, which is drawing to a close as we speak.
Of course, Fortnite isn't going away. Season 11 will soon come with its own Battle Pass, map changes (we presume) and more. So when can we expect Fortnite Season 11? And what will come with it? Let's try to answer some of those questions now.
When is the Fortnite Season 11 release date?
As of this moment, we don't have a firm start date for Fortnite Season 11. What we do have, though, is a sense of when the current season — Season 10 — is coming to an end.
By looking at the Battle Pass in Fortnite, we know the game itself states there are just a few days remaining for Season 10, and that Oct. 6 appears to be the last date for Battle Pass holders to make progress. There's a good chance that Season 11 could also start on that date, though we won't know for sure until we get there.
What will the Fortnite Season 11 Battle Pass include?
While we don't have the lowdown on any of the new stuff coming to Fortnite Season 11's Battle Pass, we do have an idea of what you can expect. But really, if you've been playing in any of the last few seasons, you might already know what we're about to say.
Look for XP multipliers and boosts, as usual. Also expect some slots to deliver you V-Bucks. There'll be pets, alternate character styles, weapon skins, and harvesting tools for the taking. And, of course, there will likely be a pinnacle Battle Pass cosmetic of some kind; perhaps a difficult-to-attain character.
Will map changes be coming in Fortnite Season 11?
Now this section is very interesting. Because normally, we'd tell you to expect a few new touches to the map. We'd say that, maybe, some of your favorite areas are going to look a bit different when Fortnite Season 11 rolls around.
But there's apparently growing evidence that Epic has huge changes in mind for Season 11. Huge as in, Epic may very well be wiping the slate clean and starting over with an entirely new map, according to Polygon. That would make a lot of sense given this current season, which has taken a trip back through time to bring us some of our favorite areas from the past. Maybe all this time we've been saying goodbye and we didn't even realize it.
We'll find out for sure when Fortnite Season 11 launches.
Does Fortnite Season 11 have a trailer?
Ah yes, the cinematic trailer. The launch video that gets everyone positively jacked about playing the new season of Fortnite. We're pretty positive Season 11 is going to have one of those, and that it'll probably drop on the day the new season starts.
Unfortunately, that day hasn't come yet.
Be sure to check back here when Fortnite Season 11 appears ready to launch. We'll have news coverage of the whole thing, including the new trailer that will have presumably arrived.
