A New Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Trailer Just Leaked Online
Well oops. We have no idea how the leak happened or how long it'll be until Activision decides to just show us the real thing, but a new trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has made its way onto the internet. What's it have? More cinematics; the kind that really drum up the drama.
We're going to embed the Reddit thread that contains the video below. Rather than spoil everything right away, we invite you to give it a look and join us on the other side.

So yeah, pretty interesting, right? Chemical weapons have fallen into the hands of bad guys, the good guys need help tracking them down, and it appears the good guys get caught up in a bit of a war that will no doubt be far more complicated than anyone anticipated. You can just sense that there is going to be some kind of betrayal in this story; some kind of twist that really throws us for a loop and makes us feel like everything we thought we knew was a lie. And gosh, when's the last time a Call of Duty story had that?
We imagine heads are rolling over at Activision headquarters right now, as the publisher wrestles with whether to just post the trailer online or stick to the plan. Heck, this trailer could even be part of the State of Play that's about to happen, in which case, we're going to have written this entire thing so that you could get a look at Modern Warfare's new trailer two or three minutes early. Regardless, we'll be keeping an eye on the Call of Duty Twitter account as well as Activision's various feeds. And we'll also have Sony's State of Play stream queued up and ready to go, just in case even more Modern Warfare news drops.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare comes to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Oct. 25, 2019.
