How Long Does It Take To Beat Untitled Goose Game?
Untitled Goose Game comes with both a silly name and a silly premise. You are a goose; perhaps the world's worst goose. You exist to make everyone around you miserable. You are very good at what you do. And you use your talents to creatively complete challenges that let you progress toward doing more terrible things to people.
It sounds like an amazing game, doesn't it? The question is, how long can something like this go on? How long does it take to beat Untitled Goose Game?
The answer is, not much time at all.
Reviews just went up for Untitled Goose Game on a number of websites, and out of the many that covered the release of this indie-developed curiosity, three provided completion times. IGN reported taking approximately one-and-a-half hours to finish Untitled Goose Game. GameSpot came in a bit higher at two hours. And Kotaku went higher still, estimating that it took roughly two-and-a-half hours to play through the entirety of the game's campaign.
Those three times average out to two hours. So it's reasonable you could complete the entirety of Untitled Goose Game in one sitting, which makes it perfect for your commute to work, a short plane ride to wherever, or heck, just passing some time at home without suddenly falling into a binge gaming session.
The question you'll have to ask yourself is this: does the amount of time you'll spend playing Untitled Goose Game justify the cost? That'll honestly depend on which platform you get it for.
The game is on sale right now in celebration of its launch, but you'll find some major price differences between the PC and Nintendo Switch versions. On PC, Untitled Goose Game is selling for a mere $6.99 via the Epic Games Store. On the Nintendo Switch eShop, however, the game is $14.99. We imagine the latter will be a little harder to swallow, so if you have a PC that can run UCG, you're probably better off buying it there. Of course, you might want it on a portable so you can wreak goose havoc regardless wherever you are. If that's the case, the Switch version can get the job done there, albeit a little more expensively.
Untitled Goose Game is out today on both PC and Nintendo Switch. If you're down for a two-hour adventure as an evil goose, and you don't mind paying anywhere from $6.99 to $14.99 for the privilege, it might be worth a look.
