Borderlands 3: How To Clone Weapons
So you just beat a tough boss in Borderlands 3 with three of your friends, and it dropped some insane loot. Unfortunately, no matter how you divvy up the rewards, there's only one really awesome gun. What do you do? Well, you rely on duping glitches, of course! After reading this, you'll know how to make two (or even 20!) copies of your new favorite gun. Even if you don't need to share the weapon, this could be an easy way to make extra cash quickly, especially if you dupe an expensive legendary item.
Now, fair warning: this is only available to PC players. If you play Borderlands 3 on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, you're out of luck. You'll also need to be comfortable with digging into your computer's files, particularly your game saves. If that makes you anxious, you can always back up your files.
First, navigate to the folder with all your saves. You should find it at the following directory:
C:\Users\[YOUR NAME]\Documents\my games\Borderlands 3\Saved\SaveGames\
You should find a folder named with a bunch of random numbers and letters. Inside that, you'll find a file named 1.sav. If you have more than one character, you'll find multiple (2.sav, 3.sav, and so on).
Copy those files to another folder. Now join a friend's game, and be sure that they are hosting it. Drop the item and let them pick it up. Afterward, close Borderlands 3.
Now, take the .sav copies you've made and paste them back into the original folder. This should overwrite your old save. And voila! Now you and your friend have the same item at the same time.
