How Long Does It Take To Beat Catherine: Full Body?

Catherine: Full Body – a remaster of 2011's Catherine — comes to PlayStation 4 on Sept. 3. And with most remasters, we could simply look at the already-established completion times and say, "Those still hold." But Full Body is different. It adds substantially to the first version of Catherine, so much so that the "remaster" tag might not be doing it justice.

That means we can't just rely on classic Catherine for help. We need Full Body play times to start rolling in, and fortunately, they are.

The review embargo is now up on Catherine: Full Body, which means critics have been playing through this updated version of the game and have been posting their thoughts and feelings about it online. Thankfully, a few have also opted to include the amount of time it took them to complete Full Body. The website App Trigger estimates that the story portion of the game comes in at around 12 hours. Press Start thinks it'll take most players between 12 and 15 hours to beat the game. And DualShockers goes a little wider with its playthrough estimate, stating that the campaign in Full Body lasts between 12 and 20 hours.

If we average all of those numbers together, that lands us somewhere between 14 and 15 hours for Catherine: Full Body's main story.

Of course, you could always choose to spend more time with the game, and there are incentives to do so. The original Catherine had a number of different endings players could experience, as does Full Body, so if you want to see all of the various ways the story could play out, you could tackle a few additional playthroughs. And then there is the completionist route for the trophy hunters out there: that'll likely add dozens of hours to your overall play time.

As far as the main story goes, however, about a week of casual play should do the trick. So get your $60 ready (yes, it costs $60). Catherine: Full Body will be available on PlayStation 4 in just a few days' time.
