Ninja Gives Advice Amid Ava Kris Tyson Scandal

The internet is still buzzing about the disturbing allegations against Ava Kris Tyson, particularly from prominent members of the streaming community. The longtime member of MrBeast's crew was accused of grooming an underage fan, exchanging inappropriate messages when Tyson was 20 and the fan was 13. The story really started picking up steam on July 22, and Tyson posted a response on July 23.

Tyson said, "I would like to apologize for any of my past behavior or comments if it hurt or offended anyone." She's taking a break from social media and leaving MrBeast's crew, but MrBeast himself has yet to publicly comment on the situation. Other streamers have shared their thoughts, however, in part because their viewers are demanding it.

During a livestream on July 23, Ninja's chat kept pressing for him to talk about the controversy. He began with a pretty straightforward message about content creators talking to underage fans: "It's not difficult. Don't condone it." He went on to give some more concrete advice to his chat that apparently the wider streaming community also needs to hear.

Just don't do it, Ninja says

It turns out that Ninja has a foolproof plan for avoiding scandals like Tyson's or Dr Disrespect, and it's refreshingly simple. "Listen guys, I can promise you it's not hard," Ninja told his viewers. "You just don't DM anyone," he said. He then spent some time talking about fidelity, presumably because Tyson was married when the alleged messaging took place. According to Ninja, he's never alone in a room with a woman other than his wife — even when streaming, quite famously — and the only people that he ever sends DMs to are people that he knows personally. "If I don't know you, I'm not DMing you," Ninja deadpanned. "I don't want to get to know you. I don't want to find out you're only 17."

The chat seemed pretty pleased with this response, and Ninja seemed happy with it as well, quickly moving on from the subject. Before heading back into another "Fortnite" match, however, Ninja addressed another internet truism related to the situation: If you post something online, it stays out there forever. "It is the year 2024," he said. "Everything is going to come out. It always does." The easiest way to avoid a scandal, Ninja argued, is to not engage in scandalous behavior.
