New GTA Online Item Has GTA 6 Fans On High Alert
We're not entirely sure when Rockstar is going to release "GTA 6," but we know that there's still a lengthy wait ahead. Some fans are coping by watching the "GTA 6" trailer a million times over, while others are drowning their sorrows in other big community-based games like "Helldivers 2." Fans of "Grand Theft Auto Online" are dealing with the long wait by searching high and low to find potential easter eggs for "GTA 6" in the game.
For instance, recently spotted a necklace from the "GTA 6" trailer popping up in "GTA 5." It seems like Rockstar was just too proud of its bling to hold the cosmetic back for another year or so. The necklace is a thrilling find on its own, but players are already trying to figure out if it's just a piece in a larger puzzle. "Could be a stretch but whatever the price of that necklace is might mean something," wrote one commenter on Reddit. No one's found a deeper code attached to the necklace (yet), but that isn't going to stop fans from spending the next year searching.
You can hardly blame fans for thinking there's another hidden message here, especially since the necklace is so prominently shown off in the "GTA 6" trailer and the devs haven't said anything about it one way or another. Naturally, the necklace has ignited all kinds of rumors about other "GTA 6" items sneaking into the current game.
We haven't found real GTA 6 vehicles yet
An item from the "GTA 6" trailer popping up in "GTA Online" is exciting enough on its own, but fans have naturally started to look for even bigger carry-overs from the new game. They want something they can actually interact with, and the dream find would obviously be a new car. While some fans are searching high and low for a vehicle — and some believe Rockstar has already added vehicles from the "GTA 6" trailer into "GTA Online" — others are pointing out why this particular kind of item would be a bridge too far.
None, because they don't back port content. The vehicles are made for V/O before they're improved for VI. That's a logical workflow. We have yet to see any vehicle that's been seen in VI before it's been in V/O, and that's why.

The sad truth is that since Rockstar is hard at work actually making "GTA 6," the has have limited resources for throwing secrets into the current game. The more likely explanation for the "GTA Online" vehicles resembling those previewed for "GTA 6" is that Rockstar already had some of them in the works for "GTA 5," then simply gave them a next-gen facelift while building "GTA 6." We aren't likely to see much else from the next game come to "GTA Online" — but then again, we didn't expect to get the necklace either. Either way, "GTA" fans have got to pass the time somehow, and there are worse ways to spend an afternoon than digging for hints of "GTA 6."
