How To Find And Use The New Fortnite B.R.U.T.E Mech Suit

Fortnite Season 10 kicked off today, unveiling a host of new toys, challenges, and perks for Battle Pass holders to enjoy. Thes new lineup includes the B.R.U.T.E Mech Suit, an impressive, one or two-person weaponized vehicle reminiscent of Titanfall's iconic robots.

If two players enter the suit one (the driver) will control its movement while the other (the gunner) mans the weapons. You can choose to operate the B.R.U.T.E solo, however, you must switch between both roles to keep the suit up and running. This adds an extra layer of difficulty, forcing you to choose between firepower and mobility as you face off against your rivals.

While in the suit, the driver can stomp enemies and structures, gathering materials from any source normally harvestable when destroyed. The gunner can use these materials to take advantage of the new Overshield mechanic. If you find yourself in a sticky situation, spend 200 of any Material type to grant yourself a 5 second overshield that will protect you while operating the B.R.U.T.E.

During each match, two mech suits will spawn in random locations. Once they've landed, unique B.R.U.T.E icons will appear on the mini-map. While there's some element of chance involved, eagle-eyed combatants can align their Battle Bus jumps to better reach the vehicles. As the B.R.U.T.E is a fresh addition to the game, expect some stiff competition for control of the suit.

While in the driver's seat, you'll have a few abilities at your disposal. You can Dash into combat, hold your Jump bind to charge a Super Jump, and even self-destruct the B.R.U.T.E Mech Suit to stop your enemies from using it once you've finished with it.

Gunners will have two weapons in their arsenal: a shotgun and a rocket launcher. The shotgun can fire 10 shells before you must reload, dealing 50 damage with a 1.5x headshot multiplier. To use the rocket launcher, hold down Trigger to load missiles. Release the trigger to fire the missiles all at once; the launcher will fire automatically once you reach the 10 missile cap.

Clips of players using the B.R.U.T.E Mech Suit are popping up all over social media, accompanied by complaints about the vehicle's overpowered features. Given the concerns from the Fortnite competitive community, it's probably only a matter of time before Epic Games nerfs or vaults the suit, so enjoy it while you can.
