Fortnite Season 10 Trailer Accidentally Leaked Online
It's safe to say that whoever manages the Fortnite Brasil account is sweating bullets right now. Instead of tweeting out a smaller tease as the main Fortnite account did, the team in Brazil went ahead and released the whole minute-long Season 10 trailer. Oops.
The trailer was removed from Twitter, according to PC Gamer, but you can still watch it here thanks to Twitter user @FortTory. If only the phone had been held in landscape mode.
So, what can we gather from the trailer? It appears there is definitely going to be some time travel involved in Season 10 of Fortnite. The trailer shows Fortnite mascot Jonsey floating through the void, encountering references to past events and items from the game, such as the rocket ship, the cube butterfly, and the Tactical SMG (which is currently vaulted). At the end of the trailer, Jonsey lands on his back near a perfectly intact Dusty Depot, with the meteor that struck the location directly above him, seemingly frozen in time. And a large splash screen follows with the words "Temporada X."
That, friends, is Season 10.
It appears that some old things will be made new again, and we'll get a chance to relive some of the past moments that have occurred inside Fortnite. Other than that, we're at a loss for how exactly the game will present these callbacks. Will there be actual time travel taking place? Will the Fortnite map warp every week or so into a different period of the game's timeline? Or has something glitched somewhere, pulling all of these references back into the map at the same time? It would be really cool to see some BioShock Infinite-esque tears in the world, replacing the newer locations with what they used to be.
We won't have to wait long to find out, though. Fortnite Season 10 is set to kick off tomorrow, and by then, we should have more answers.
