How Long Does It Take To Beat Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night?

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night released back in June with a lot of hype surrounding it. A spiritual successor to the Castlevania games of old, designed by Koji Igarashi, the "godfather" of the series? Who wouldn't want that? Still, there are some hesitant buyers out there, and they have questions.

The main one, though, has to do with playtime; more specifically, how long does it take to beat Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night? We've got the answer for you right here.

According to the website How Long to Beat, the main story campaign in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will take the average player a little over 13 hours to complete. That is sticking to what's called the "golden path" of the game, while also reading through any dialogue and allowing cutscenes to play out. That's a fair amount of game time. But those who want to dive deeper can squeeze far more out of the title.

The completionist route in Ritual of the Night will take players, on average, over 32 hours. As you can imagine, there's quite a bit to discover in a game that draws a lot of inspiration from Castlevania, which means simply running through the story won't reveal everything Igarashi and his team at ArtPlay packed in. If you're devoted to exploring every nook and cranny and unlocking all the secrets, you could be playing Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for quite some time.

And what can you do after you've completed Ritual of the Night in its entirety? Speedrun it. A YouTuber named LostFeather was able to rush through the game (and get the bad ending) in 27 minutes and 10 seconds. That certainly looks like it might be a challenge to beat, but who knows; maybe you'll be the one to do it.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. If you enjoy Castlevania games, it's not to be missed.
