Apex Legends Season 2 Trailers Leak Ahead Of Schedule
"Keep your eyes peeled," the official Apex Legends Twitter account told us yesterday. "Yeah, we'll just find the trailers ourselves," said Reddit.
Two new Apex Legends video trailers leaked their way online this morning, courtesy of the game's Reddit community. And the two trailers — running at about two and two-and-a-half minutes each — appear to show a lot of what we can look forward to in the second season of Apex Legends.
First off, this Crypto character? He seems very much real. Using a laptop, he sets off an EMP blast that takes down the Kings Canyon Repulsor Tower, causing a lot of additional damage in the process. On top of that, the Flyers we've been seeing in Apex Legends over the past few weeks? There appear to be a lot more of them now, flying over the island in a giant flock.
Oh, and we almost forgot to mention the enormous dinosaur stomping through the map. It's reportedly called the Leviathan. It is very big, very scary looking, and it looks like it's going to be a problem. Where in the heck did it come from? We have no idea. All we know is, the island of Kings Canyon was apparently home to the Flyers, the Leviathan, and who knows what other creatures before it was transformed into a battleground. Now that the Repulsor Tower is no more, those creatures are back. Yikes.
We can expect some significant changes to the Kings Canyon map thanks to the destruction caused by the Repulsor Tower's collapse, as well as the reintroduction of the Flyers and the Leviathan to their native habitat. And we're on board with that.
Otherwise, we saw some of what we already saw during Apex Legends' time at EA Play. We already know Wattson will make her debut in Season 2. We know she has some slick abilities (becoming a defibrillator by rubbing your hands together? COOL). We did get a first look at some of her finishers, though, and they are great. If we ever find the time to use them before being immediately shot down ourselves, we'd love to give them a try. But that might be asking too much.
EA and Respawn have designs on revealing at least one of the new trailers today. It seems they've had their thunder stolen a little bit by the leaks now, but we'll keep an eye out and see if the Apex Legends trailers come with any new information about Season 2 we don't already have.
