Why Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Is Warning Fans
"Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League" has not had the easiest road to release. The latest installment in Rocksteady's "Arkham" franchise was first announced way back in 2020 and seemed like it was poised to be a total game-changer. After several delays, fans are more worried about the game than ever, particularly due to its live-service model and some qualms about character designs and weaponry. Now, following weeks of smaller leaks regarding the game's plot, some major spoilers have started to leak online. These include what appear to be screenshots depicting major character deaths and some seriously controversial decisions on the part of Rocksteady. In the wake of these spoilers making their way onto Reddit and X (formerly Twitter), Rocksteady is pleading with fans to avoid spreading these spoilers even further.

The developer took to social media to remind people that the long wait for the game will finally be over in just two short months, and that a great deal of work has gone into making this game into a memorable experience. "We're looking forward to players experiencing the story we've crafted in 'Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League' once the game launches in the new year," reads a post on X. Rocksteady added, "It is very disappointing to see details being shared ahead of the game's release, so we can only urge you to avoid spoilers where you can." Unfortunately, the replies to very post were then flooded with gamers sharing those very same spoilers. Although many were shared without context, fans may be absolutely shocked to see their contents.
Major spoilers ahead for "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League."
Spoilers abound for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
Though we won't be sharing any of the leaked images here, it's worth discussing some of the shocking screenshots and brief clips that have made their way online. Perhaps most surprising of all is the apparent returns of two villains. One is a childlike version of Poison Ivy, which some fans have theorized grew from a seed left behind when the previous version sacrificed herself in "Arkham Knight." Other images and audio files offer a look at a seemingly new version of the Joker, who famously met his demise during the events of "Batman: Arkham City." Shots of a redesigned Joker prancing about under a spotlight have led some fans to theorize that the Clown Prince of Crime could simply cameo in a hallucination or dream sequence. Others believe that this Joker could be a variant from another world, and that "Kill the Justice League" might introduce multiversal shenanigans to Rocksteady's DC universe. If the character really is in the game, fans will no doubt be curious to learn who will voice him. After all, Mark Hamill officially retired from the role after the death of longtime Batman actor Kevin Conroy, didn't he?
Speaking of which, another upsetting image making the rounds shows what appears to be the Dark Knight on the receiving end of a death blow from Harley Quinn. Considering this game marks Conroy's final voice performance as the iconic character, many fans who have seen these images are bracing themselves for an upsetting send-off to the beloved hero. One bit of solace may be found, however, in posts from noted "Suicide Squad" leaker Miller Ross, who says many of the plot leaks are being taken out of context. Fans will simply have to wait and see what Rocksteady's endgame here really is.
There is a plot leak going around that gets a lot of things wrong. I won't give details, but it's important to acknowledge that it misses a lot and also gets key moments completely wrong. It's based solely on a listen to the cutscene dialogue, which includes characters lying.
