PlayStation Plus Games For March: Modern Warfare Remastered, The Witness

March is just around the corner, and we're getting a look at what PlayStation Plus will look like without PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita games being given away — pretty slim.

Next month, PS Plus will offer up just two games for the PlayStation 4, though they're nothing to sneeze at. The first is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, and the second is The Witness. Like we said, pretty good, right?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered sure caused a stir when it was first announced back in the middle of 2016. On one hand, Activision was remastering a fan favorite in the Call of Duty series — one that many will point to time and time again as one of the best Call of Duty games ever made. On the other hand, though, Activision was bundling Modern Warfare Remastered with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, an adventure in outer space that not a whole lot of people were excited about. At one point, you could not buy Modern Warfare Remastered without buying Infinite Warfare, and series die-hards weren't very happy about that.

Activision did eventually sell Modern Warfare Remastered separately. And now you can get it as part of PS Plus. Was it worth all of the controversy? That'll be for you to decide.

And then we have The Witness, a puzzle game that was nominated for a ton of industry awards back in 2016, and even took home Game of the Year accolades from some critics. It's safe to say that this game is about as polar opposite as you can get from a Call of Duty title. They both take place from a first-person view, but they don't share a lot in common aside from that. If you want to play the latest game from developer Jonathan Blow, whose last hit was the much-beloved Braid, you'll be able to download it from PlayStation Plus next month.

Both of the above games will hit PlayStation Plus on March 5.
