Adin Ross Drops GTA 6 Cast Bombshell

Adin Ross says he's on track to appear in "Grand Theft Auto 6." Fans worldwide rejoiced when Rockstar Games debuted the first trailer for the long-gestating "GTA" entry this week. Released earlier than planned due to leaks, the maiden look at "GTA 6" has been widely praised across the board. From its stunning visuals to its debaucherous Vice City setting and compelling lead protagonists, the "GTA 6" trailer has taken over every corner of the internet. Concrete plot details and casting information are slim because, well, this is Rockstar. However, one of the most popular streamers working today might have a part in bringing "GTA 6" to life.

Ross, who boasts over 4 million YouTube subscribers and more than 820,000 followers on Kick, says he's set to appear in "GTA 6." The streamer and gaming personality made the claim on X, formerly known as Twitter. "I'm in gta 6 I can't speak much about it but you'll see later on throughout the year in the next trailer," Ross said to his fans. At this junction, it's unclear if Ross spoke the truth or was joking, trolling those eager for more "GTA 6" information. "Either way I'm blessed and thank you to rockstar for giving me an opportunity to have something to do with the greatest game ever," Ross continued. Following his "announcement," Ross received both congratulations and eye rolls. Rockstar Games has yet to make any official announcements regarding the game's casting.

Social media seems to be a key part of GTA 6

Adin Ross is a controversial figure in the streaming community, so he may simply be having fun with the hoopla surrounding "Grand Theft Auto 6." Ross is no stranger to public relations and NDAs, so it is surprising for him to pipe up and say he's in the entry just after the trailer was released. After all, we still don't officially know who is voicing Lucia and Jason, the lead protagonists for "GTA 6."

Then again, Rockstar is no stranger to collaborating with celebrities and personalities for the "GTA" franchise, so it is possible that Ross could be in the game. Beyond that, take a deep dive into the trailer for "GTA 6," and it becomes increasingly clear that social media will play a big part in the upcoming title. The first look is riddled with footage of a TikTok or Instagram like-app, showing Vice City natives participating in devious activities. NPCs can even be seen filming or taking photos of one another.

While critical details regarding social media integration are slim, the first trailer for "GTA 6" makes it explicit that the game will at least attempt to dissect the effect social media has on individuals. As Ross is a social media darling with a legion of fans, it isn't hard to imagine Rockstar hitting the streamer up to appear in the project. For now, Ross' supposed casting confirmation should be taken with a large grain of salt.
