All Of Starfield's Accessories Will Cost As Much As An Xbox Series X
Xbox fans just got an exciting new look at Bethesda's upcoming game "Starfield" during this weekend's Xbox Games Showcase. The extended preview focused on the new title's development, gameplay, and story for the most part. However, the presentation also offered a sneak peak of some new hardware to go along with the game. Of course, fans who want to get their hands on the whole package will need to hand over some significant cash.
To complement the dev's upcoming sci-fi adventure, Bethesda is working with Microsoft to release a special edition controller and headset. Featuring a design to match the aesthetic of the "Starfield" setting, these limited edition devices will give gamers a chance to explore space in style. Even cooler, the devs have noted that the headset marks the first time Xbox has made special edition headphones to tie into a game. Lastly, players who are all-in for "Starfield" can pick up the "Constellation Edition" of the game, which comes with a steelbook case, a patch, a digital copy of the game, and a snazzy watch in a screen-accurate carrying case.
Here's the kicker, though: The price tag for the whole package will run a little over $500 — the same amount as a Series X console.
Starfield is shaping up to be a pricey package
The Special Edition controller will be selling for $80 and the headset will go for $125, putting the final price tag for these accessories at just over $200 altogether. Those who want to bring the feeling of exploring the stars into the real world will be spending even more, since the "Constellation Edition" will run $300 on its own.
Bethesda also took the opportunity to show off the special watch that comes with the "Constellation Edition." This functional watch will be able to pair with smartphones to offer extra functionality and is designed to look like the one the player acquires in the game. It will even come in a special case and is included in the upcoming "Constellation Edition" of the game.
There's no word on whether or not watch can be purchased outside of the collector's set. Still, for fans who are already springing for the controller/headset/game combo, the collector's set might be the way to go.
