What Code 300202 Means In Diablo 4 (And Can You Fix It?)
If you've been keeping tabs on the "Diablo 4" player community, you'll know that the game is mostly running smoothly after a rocky launch day. Many of the game's issues have been resolved in recent days, but a few problems persist. One of these is error code 300202, which players have been encountering on the character creation screen. When encountering this error, players have been informed that the game is having difficulty logging in. In other words, it can put a freeze on your fun times before you even get a chance to select your character and really dive into all that "Diablo 4" has to offer.
Blizzard is currently working on fixes for the game's remaining server issues, so hopefully this won't be a problem for too long. But in the meantime, players are no doubt wondering what the deal is with error code 300202, and why it's happening.
[#Diablo4] We apologize once again for the inconvenience caused by today's outages. We're working to resolve this as quickly as possible!

Actions to take if you get error code 300202
Well, there's good news and bad news when it comes to error code 300202. The good news is that it's not typically triggered by player error, nor does it mean that your account has been hacked or compromised in any way. You don't have to worry about cheaters in this instance, as 300202 is merely an error that denotes a server malfunction on Blizzard's side.
The bummer about that is that players encountering the error might just have to wait till the tech wizards at Blizzard get the servers all patched up. Still, there are a few things that can be done on the player's end. Some players have noted that they've been able to reconnect without triggering the error by simply closing the game and booting it back up. Others recommend restarting your PC altogether.
If neither of those work, then the only alternative is to remain patient and wait for Blizzard to sort things out on its end.
