Tears Of The Kingdom Ad Leak Reveals Even More Details
"Legend of Zelda," fans, it's time to speculate. After Nintendo treated fans to its third and final trailer for the upcoming "Tears of the Kingdom," fan theories began to multiply. The trailer showed off Link's building skills, new modes of combat, and some familiar faces, all while highlighting the epic plotline that puts Link in charge of defeating Ganondorf once again. Now, gamers have even more material to pore over. Shortly after the third trailer released, a Reddit post revealed a leaked live-action trailer that will likely premiere after the game's release.
The leaked trailer adopts the style of many other Nintendo ads, showing families enjoying some gaming time together, or friends hanging out and collaborating on the latest "Zelda"-styled puzzle. Even though "Tears of the Kingdom" will be a single-player game, the ad emphasizes that it can still be enjoyed by groups working together.
Collaborative play isn't what fans are interested in, though. Instead, gamers set out to investigate every gameplay detail of the leaked ad, examining it for hints about Link's new abilities and story beats. Here's what they found in the leaked footage.
Hints of a huge world
Perhaps one of the biggest details gamers discussed has to do with the sheer size of the map. At one point, coordinates seem to indicate that Link is underground, which could mean that he'll venture into the sky above Hyrule and the caves below. One commenter argued that the existence of an underground system could mean that "Tears of the Kingdom" will bring back traditional dungeons, which "Breath of the Wild" discarded in favor of Shrines.

Many players also expressed relief that the dragon-like creature in other trailers is actually a Gleeok — a type of boss that has appeared in several other "Zelda" games — and not a more important boss. The existence of a Flame Gleeok suggests there might also be other types of Gleeok throughout various regions, meaning that the fiery opponent wasn't as much of a spoiler as some gamers initially thought.

Fans considered a circle of stones one of the most contentious parts of the leaked trailer, with some worrying that it signaled the return of Koroks – the fun-loving tree sprites – and others assuring the group that circles of stones are a "Zelda" staple.

It's unclear if Koroks will return to bestow gamers with little puzzles, but one thing is certain. There's more to "Tears of the Kingdom" than many anticipated – and that's a good thing.
