Pokémon Scarlet And Violet's Simple Glitch That Gives You Endless Items
Update 12/6/22: The following exploit has been removed with the first patch for "Pokémon Scarlet" and "Violet." However, if you still have a cloned legendary Pokémon in your party from before the patch, you can still clone items! The original story follows.
"Pokémon Scarlet" and "Pokémon Violet" were released with massive glitches and bugs that became the source of many fans' frustrations. Between visual glitches that can be just as funny as others are creepy, there's no shortage of crazy things that can be found in the newest "Pokémon" games. In fact, some of the glitches can be used to the player's advantage, like ensuring a one-kit KO or using an item duplication glitch
YouTuber BLAINES shared the bug, which he credited to German YouTuber DrWater. The glitch was basically a faster version of a previous exploit that also involved duplicating items. While it's got a bit of a complicated setup, it's incredibly quick and easy to do after the beginning steps.
To start, players first have to make sure that the top-left spot in their Box One is empty. Players also have to make sure that there's one free space in their Pokémon party. Then, players will change their legendary Koraidon or Miraidon from ride form to battle form. Then, give the legendary the item to be duplicated.
After that, the player hits + to ride the legendary like normal and then hit the same button again to get off. This will change Koraidon or Miraidon back to ride form, so players have to go back and put it in battle form again. From there, catch any Pokémon around.
Getting cloned Koraidon and Miraidon
The next part can be a bit tricky, but when the game asks if it should add the Pokémon to the player's party, click yes. When selecting the legendary Pokémon as the Pokémon to be replaced, players need to hit A and B at almost the same exact time – A just needs to be hit slightly before.
If it works, then a pop-up will ask whether the item should go in your bag or to put the Pokémon in Boxes. Choose to put the item back in your bag. From there, hit + to get back to riding Koraidon or Miraidon, and then hit + again to get back off. After that, go to Boxes and there will be a cloned version of the legendary Pokémon.
Then, switch the newly caught Pokémon with the cloned legendary in the Box. Open the Bag and give the cloned legendary the item you want to be duplicated. From there, switch the cloned legendary back to ride form. Go back to Boxes and use X to navigate to Battle Teams. Then, go to the Box before Box One, which will be a special box for the legendary. It will be holding the item from before, so put the item in the Bag.
After that, all you have to do is just keep making the legendary Pokémon in your party go back to ride form and then going back to the same place in your Boxes to put away the held, duplicated item.
