How Warzone 2.0's Interrogation System Works
"Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0" finally arrived in mid-November, introducing an updated version of the free-to-play battle royale. Several new features accompanied the release, including the Al Mazrah map, modes like DMZ, and fresh mechanics. The update also ushered in Gulag 2.0, which instead pits two players against two other players as opposed to the old 1v1, and the return of 150 player lobbies. The original "Warzone" had the same lobby size, but the number has fluctuated from season to season depending on the maps and modes available for people to play.
Of the new "Warzone 2.0" mechanics, one in particular stands out: the option to interrogate enemies for information. This new feature can be game changing — as long as you understand how it works. While fairly straightforward, those looking to use and maximize the new system will want to ensure they understand the ends and outs to get the most out of their "Warzone 2.0" matches.
Interrogate fallen foes to uncover enemy locations
As detailed in an official blog post, players can attempt interrogations in squad-based modes in "Warzone 2.0." You first need to down an enemy player and then approach them at close range. You will want ensure that the downed foe's teammates aren't nearby before moving in. Once you've closed the distance, press the button prompt on the screen and a short animation will play as your character completes a scan with their handheld.
Once the animation finishes, the downed enemy's remaining squad members will temporarily show up as red dots on the mini-map and their bodies will be outlined in red, allowing you to spot them with greater ease. This will also outline and mark any equipment their team might have placed. If the downed enemy player is either killed or revived, the effect will immediately end, so it will be up to you and your squad to determine the best course of action after interrogating an enemy.
While it can be risky to move in close to a downed foe in the middle of a match, uncovering the locations of enemy squad members can shift the momentum of a fight in your favor.
