Warzone 2.0: How To Get Black Site Keys
"Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0" is on the way, and with it will come plenty of new changes. Not the least of which is the brand new and enormous Al Mazrah map, the new DMZ mode, and lobby sizes of up to 150 players. Of course, that lobby size may change over time, as the first game did, but only time will tell.
Another addition this time around is Strongholds and Black Sites. These areas are guarded by AI soldiers that players must take down to acquire powerful gear and even permanent weapon blueprints. Of course, those blueprints are only available in Black Sites, the more demanding of the two AI-filled encampments, and the only way into a Black Site is with a Black Site Key. According to an official overview of "Warzone 2.0," the Black Sites themselves sound intimidating enough, but getting one of those keys could prove even more demanding.
Black Site Keys are earned by disarming Stronghold bombs
When a battle royale match begins in "Warzone 2.0," Stronghold locations are lit up on the Tac-Map for all players. These locations are randomly selected between each game, so one shouldn't always count on a Stronghold to be in the exact same place. As explained by Activision, "Squads can visit these areas to fight AI combatants. The first team to complete a Stronghold must disarm a bomb and will earn a key to a Black Site and their Custom Loadout." The critical detail here is that only the first team to defuse a Stronghold bomb will acquire a Black Site Key. Subsequent teams can still visit Strongholds to eliminate several combatants and earn their Custom Loadouts, but they will not receive a Black Site Key.
This makes it a bit trickier to grab those valuable keys since players will not only be up against the in-game AI but the efforts of other key-seeking players. If one successfully nabs a Black Site Key, they can head toward a Black Site location to fight an even tougher assortment of foes. Luckily, since a Black Site Key is required for entry, there's less chance of running into other players at these more malicious sites.
Fighting through not one but two AI bases while also running from and fighting against other players sounds like quite the gauntlet, but a weapon blueprint for one's favorite gun might just be worth it.
