Marvel's Midnight Suns Announces Season Pass With Hilarious Deadpool Trailer
"Marvel's Midnight Suns" had fans divided when it was first announced because of the deck-building and card mechanics that determine combat. However, while this worried fans, the bad news kept coming with massive delays. After finally getting a release date of Dec. 2, 2022, fans were able to get excited about the game. To add to the already abundant amount of information about the game, Firaxis released a video announcing a season pass with a hilarious comedy bit from Deadpool.
On Oct. 26, an announcement from Deadpool on the game's YouTube channel revealed the upcoming season pass. Deadpool started off by saying that bullying major companies on the internet works, as proven by his "acceptance email" to join a team he neglected to mention. The "email" came after some great marketing videos posted on the game's Twitter account where Deadpool begged to be added to the game.
He went on to say that he'd be in the game and detailed the rest of the team that will join him after the game's release. The announcement featured child-like drawings (presumably from Deadpool) of Venom, Morbius, Storm, and Deadpool himself. All of these Marvel icons will be available in four separate post-launch DLC packs. Deadpool will be the first to release, coming at some point in early 2023. Deadpool did a great job sharing the information – fans were excited about the season pass, which isn't always the easiest thing to sell.
Fans have high hopes for the season pass
"Marvel's Midnight Suns" fans were excited to see the season pass and the characters included, and many had high expectations of what the DLC packs will add to the game. One YouTuber commented that new missions alongside the characters would also be great, while others were thrilled with the idea of even more heroes and anti-heroes that could come to the game in future season passes.
Fans also threw out several ideas about future additions to the game, such as Moon Knight, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, and Man-Thing. Developers have plenty of different characters that they could add to the game, and it looks like fans are pleased by the idea of them being brought in with DLC. Of course, there are some exceptions to this. While some players are even more excited about the game because of the upcoming characters, others have been turned away by the idea of DLC.
Fans can look forward to playing "Marvel's Midnight Suns" on Dec. 2, 2022 on next-gen consoles and PC. The game will also be available on last-gen consoles and the Nintendo Switch at a later date.
